During the first semester, the Yearbook class will study design and apply design rules to mockups. The staff will practice teambuilding exercises, learn to Adobe InDesign software to create yearbook spreads, learn to use Adobe Photoshop to touch up photos before submitting the yearbook spreads to the publishing company, and will begin to run the yearbook class as a business. The Yearbook class will spend the second semester using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to complete yearbook spreads, selling advertisements and yearbooks, finalizing pages, completing the cover, and finalizing the layout of the yearbook.

 

Yearbook Homework for the week of May 23:

Plans are subject to change.

Objectives: Students will be able to frame a photograph in the viewfinder, take a good photograph, use yearbook terminology when discussing the book, understand the parts of a yearbook, work as a team.
