All of the Machines in rooms 15, 9, and 9a have been armed with a program to combat the Microsoft Word Concept Virus. Just follow these steps to clean an infected file.
Step 1: Assimilate the machine that the user was using.
Step 2: Take the infected disk to another machine, this way, you don't have to wait until the first machine is through assimilating.
Step 3: Open MS Word from the Launcher. (DO NOT open Word by double-clicking on the infected file.)
Step 4: Select open from the file menu or click on the open button on the toolbar.
Step 5: Open the infected file.
Step 6: If the file is indeed infected, Word will ask you if you want to disable the macros included in this file. Click the YES button. This will disable the virus in the file.
Step 7: Word will give you a message telling you to save the file as the same name as the infected file. This is your next step. Click the OK button to clear the message.
Step 8: Select save from the file menu or click on the save button on the toolbar. Then save the document as the same name (Exactly) as the infected file. Then when Word asks you if you want to replace the old file by that name, click the YES button.
Now the file should be restored to a normal harmless Word Document.
