I know that building a porch isn't technically woodworking, but this the project that got us started. This in the front porch of the famous (or infamous) Rolling "M" Ranch North. My father and I demolished the old rotten "sun porch" in late March. I had a concrete slab poured for the floor around the middle of April. And by the end of June, Paul and I had built the rest of the porch from a vision in my head and a stack of lumber. Not bad for a couple of beginers, huh? And no, I didn't build the high-back rockers, their from our local Cracker Barrel General Store.
