On my cars page, I'm going to give a history of what I've owned.
- 1969 Dodge Charger - (3xx V-8 (about 5.2L)3sp 727 auto. My 1st car (bought in 1980) and my favorite still (as of 1/2005) - : Yes it runs, quite well, thank you. Still own, 1st car I drove to college. It's not 'stock'. MPG=More Power per Gallon)
1982 Pontiac T1000 - (1.?L I-4, 3sp auto OD - rwd. My wife's 1st car. The 'T' meant terrible transmissions - went thru 3 before 70,000 miles. Everything else fell apart too. Poor gas mileage (high teens). GM=Grave Mistake.)
1984 Plymouth Colt (Mitsubishi) - (1.6? I-4, 4sp stick - fwd. Zippy fun car easy on the gas (low-mid 30's). Ran circles around the Pontiac.)
1978 Chyrsler Cordoba - (360 V-8 (5.7L) 3sp auto. What a nice ride. Decent (high teens) MPG for it's bulk.)
1988 Ford Taurus - (3.0 V-6 5sp auto OD - fwd. Good dependable car, handled nicely - sold it with 210,000 miles - motor and transmission were still strong. Stainless steel exhaust. Weak point: rusted really badly. High 20's MPG)
1987 Mazda B2000 Cab Plus Pickup - (2.0 I-4 5sp stick - rwd. Dependable, noisy, very expensive to work on, poor heater, weak frame, not very good on gas (low 20's) despite its small engine, size and 5 speed stick. Still own as of 1/2005)
1995 Mercury Grand Marquis- (4.7 V-8 4sp auto OD - rwd. My wife presently drives this car, her 'dream'. Lots of luxury, good gas mileage for it's size - about 24MPG Has an annoying loud squeak, difficult to repair.)
1991 Dodge Dynasty (3.3 V-6 6sp auto OD - fwd. 24 years later (2005), and I'm driving another Dodge to college. Cheap, dependable, softer ride than the Merc. Mid 20's on gas.)
