Rev. William Braswell
began his ministry at the Virginia United Methodist Church on
July 4, 2004.
Pastor Bill grew up in Illinois and
served churches in the former Southern Illinois Conference.
Before coming to Virginia, Pastor
Bill served a three-point charge in North Dakota for 10 years;
it was a yoke parish made up of one United Methodist Church and
two Presbyterian Churches (USA.)
In 2004 he decided it was time to
return to Illinois and be closer to his parents who now live in
Millstadt, Illinois.
Pastor Bill has a
sister who lives in St. Charles, Missouri, and a daughter,
Whitney, who lives in Dallas, Texas, with her husband and
daughter.
Recently, Pastor Bill married
Brenda Hammond in a ceremony at his home church, Union United
Methodist Church, located in Belleville, Illinois.
Virginia United Methodist Church is an active church with
various ministries going on.
Pastor Bill hopes to challenge the church and the
community (and himself) with the Gospel so many will grow in
Christ and serve God and others.
Each month Pastor Bill will publish that month’s sermon
titles and scriptures so that the congregation can prepare
better for worship.

Charnell currently lives in Springfield, IL.
She has two daughters. Her oldest daughter Bonnie Freeman
Kuelker lives in Greenville, IL. She also has two grandchildren
Memory Kuelker and Leia Kuelker both of Greenville, IL. Charnell
was born and raised in Greenville, IL.
Along with spending time with her kids and grandkids, she enjoys
music, reading, boating, and traveling. She is
currently a nanny in Springfield, IL. |
