The 2005 Annual Meeting took place at the Petro Station's Iron Skillet.
Of course our Annual Meeting is held in
Effingham in conjunction with Mid-America's Funfest. Here's
the
group of
happy members in
attendance. L to R:
Doc Hollada, Dennis
Coughlin, Judy Coughlin,
Gerri Hollada, Carol
Wyman, Art Wyman,
Mary Ellen Dillon,
SACC Pres. Noland
Adams, Mary Rae
Brockhouse, Mike
Duggins, SACC VP
Max Brockhouse, Judy
Eveloff, Steve Eveloff,
Vera Pruitt, and National
Corvette Homecoming
CEO Joe Pruitt.
Our guest speaker
was Noland Adams and he brought us up to date on the saga of being the technical
advisor for the USPS
stamp that has his #284 '53 featured. Noland had some hilarious moments.
Then the minutes of last year's meeting was read and
approved. I presented information on the upcoming Ft. Massac Re-enactment
cruise-in for the chapter. Elections were held and Doc Hollada was
re-elected chapter president and
Mary Rae Brockhouse was re-elected Secy/Treas. Joe Pruitt brought us up to
speed on this year's National Corvette
Homecoming, and he outlined his plans for next year's event. Then we had
an auction of items brought by members.
I am happy to report that because of that auction, the club is for the first
time in the black. We have a balance of $15.
We had a fun meeting, and plans are already underway for next year's annual
meeting. Some changes will be made as
to the time and place that will benefit everyone.
