Cozy Dog Reunion Gone South, March 10, 2007
Mid-America Motorworks
Effingham, Illinois (right in CGRC territorial boundaries)

We arrived at the Mid-America Motorworks
campus at 11AM, and promptly considered
having the chapter purchase the motorhome
that you see on the left.  It is for sale and it
is primo.  Our chapter could ride in style
to the next SACC national convention in St.
Charles, Illinois, this June.  We will start saving
our money towards this purchase.  Pictured are
(L to R) Lori Worman, vice president of Mid-America Motorworks, who supervised our tour,   Jim Clayton, Sharon Clayton, Jim Semanski, Karen Semanski, Mary Rae
Brockhouse, CGRC Secretary, Gerri Hollada,
Jack 'Doc' Hollada, CGRC Pres, Dennis
Gunning, Mid-America Motorworks Museum
Curator, and Max Brockhouse, SACC President.  Soon to be driving up was Denny and Judy Coughlin.

Lori started our corporate tour from the lunch
room.  Oh, did I tell you we had lunch right there...
Anyway, she explained our itinerary for the day,
and what a day it turned out to be!

Here are our hosts.  (L to R), Lori Worman,
Bonnie Baumgarten, and Dennis Gunning.
They were fantastic.  We can't thank
you guys enough!!!

We toured the Order Fulfillment center, then
Lori took us to the office where products
are developed and where the catalogs
are created.  Items you see on the shelf
are yet to appear in the catalog.
We got to see them first.

We saw a telephone order being handled.
Don't let that four letter word under the
computer screen fool you...Our guy taking
the order has a hot Chevelle, and he missed
out on a plastic purchase at Carlisle by a
nano-second.

And did I mention the shopping.  It was
a shopping mall for Vette nuts.  Just
check out these shoppers intent on not
going away empty handed.  AND
they discounted the items for our
group!

Then Dennis Gunning took us to his shop.  This
solid axle is a warrior with championship
credentials.

And Dennis let us climb behind the wheel of Zora's CERV-1.  How often do you get to do that?
Not very often.  I hope Dennis doesn't get in trouble.

This was a fantastic cruise-in, and we were given red carpet treatment by fantastic folks.  Lori Worman,
Bonnie Baumgarten, and Dennis Gunning were super tour guides.  And who made it all possible, starting
thirty three years ago...Mike Yager.  Thanks, Mike.  Save the Wave.
